    Kangana Ranaut, has been a big flop at the box office, grossing only Rs
    4,420 on the eighth day of its run. As per reports, the film has only sold 20
    tickets across the country, making it the year’s biggest flop. The action film
    grossed Rs 3 crore in total.

     

    color:#0E101A">Reportedly, the film costs between Rs 80 and Rs 90 crore to
    produce and is presently grappling to find online streaming
    distribution due to the producers’ failure to strike deals ahead of the release.

     

    color:#0E101A">As per recent reports, several theatres have cancelled selling
    the film’s tickets within a week of its release. On May 20, Dhaakad
    was released.

     

    color:#0E101A">Bollywood Hungama reports said that the film was released
    on over 2100 screens last week, but by the end of the weekend, the screens had
    been reduced significantly, and by the time the weekend rolled, the film had
    been completely removed from theatres across India. Several theatre owners have
    chosen to show Top Gun: Maverick, starrer Cruise, instead of Dhaakad.

     

    color:#0E101A">Sources quoted, “Dhaakad was released on May 20 with around 2100
    screens. By Sunday, May 22, approximately 300 screens, primarily single
    screens, had discontinued it. Since Monday, the number of screens has been
    reduced even further. Top Gun: Maverick, starring Tom Cruise, had an early release
    on May 26 and was out of many theatres by Thursday.”

     

    color:#0E101A">“In Week 2, Dhaakad is only playing in 25 Indian
    cinemas. In other words, it has been pulled from nearly 98.80 per cent of
    the theatres where it was playing in Week 1. Dhaakad is still being shown in
    four theatres in Delhi.  It’s not playing in a single cinema hall in
    Mumbai,” the source added.
