Monuments go upside down as Stranger Things 4 fever sweeps the world.
Netflix turned "the world upside down" ahead of the premiere of Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 1 by projecting graphics related to the hit series in 14 countries.

Digital Desk:As fans of the original Netflix series Stranger Things eagerly await the release of the new season, the streaming service went above and beyond by projecting graphics on some of the world's most iconic buildings.

Residents were stunned to see rifts appearing on monuments around the world, from Malaysia's Menara Kuala Lumpur to New York's Empire State Building. Photos and videos from the massive campaign, which took place in 14 countries around the world, have sparked an online frenzy among fans.

Stranger Things 4 fever spread not only to foreign countries, but also to India, where the iconic Gateway of India in Mumbai was lit up in eerie red and blue tones, revealing a rift in the structure. Everyone was taken aback by the larger-than-life light and sound show, which was carried out through eye-catching projections.

Fans all over the world saw a large gaping portal on the monuments, complete with deep vines, and a glowing red core, as well as the show's title. In their unique campaign, the show turned the landmark into a giant canvas, projecting the show's lead characters such as Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max, among others.

"Since 1983, when a test subject named Eleven in a Hawkins, Indiana lab ripped open a portal between Hawkins and the Upside Down (a terrifying alternate dimension beneath the surface of this small town), similar rifts have appeared in the most unexpected places." "They're now officially in our world as well," Netflix wrote in a blog post about the campaign.

As part of this one-of-a-kind initiative, 15 monuments on five continents have been illuminated with visuals from the series as Vol. 1 of Season 4 premieres on May 27. Bondi Beach in Australia, Duomo Square in Milan, Al-'Ula National Monument in Saudi Arabia, and XBox Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles are among the monuments that have been illuminated.

Netflix had shared cryptic geographical coordinates to tease fans about the global campaign, signaling fans that "something big is coming."
