United States: Farhan Akhtar famed 'Toofaan' movie, released on July 16 was viewed by more customers on Amazon Prime than any other Hindi film in the first week of its release, with viewers watching it from over 3,900 towns and cities said the Amazon Prime Video in a press release.
The press release said it recorded its best viewership in the month leading up to Prime Day from July 26 to 27.
The boxing drama movie directed by Rakeyesh Omprakash Mehra features Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal in the vital role.
"Toofaan was also watched in over 160 countries and territories across the globe," said Amazon Prime Video in its press release.
Moreover, Amazon said that its regional language movies "Narappa" (Telugu), Sarpatta Parambarai (Tamil), and Malik (Malayalam) were also watched by its viewers in over 3,200 towns and cities in India as well in 150 countries globally.
Amazon also stated that the comedy-drama show Hostel Daze, which releases on July 23, was viewed in over 3,600 towns and cities in India and over 100 countries around the world.
The show, directed by Amir Musanna and Sangram Naiksatam, features Adarsh Gaurav, Luv Vispute, Ahsaas Channa, and others.
