HSLC Results 2023: Second Highest Pass Percentage recorded since 1992

Digital Desk: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) announced the
results for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exams for the year 2023
on Monday, with up to 72.69 percent of all applicants taking the exams passing.

color:black">It should be mentioned that this year's passing percentage was one
of the highest since 1992. According to SEBA, the 2023 results had the second
highest pass % reported since 1992. The overall pass rate in 2021 was 93.10
percent. However, that can be applied to a pandemic-affected academic setting
where it is physically impossible to sit for tests and students are promoted
based on past performance.

color:black">The lowest pass percentage, on the other side, was recorded in
1992, when the overall pass percentage was only 29.00%.

It should be mentioned
that the HSLC results were issued today, with a total of 4,15,324 students
taking the board exams. In total, 94,913 pupils received first division,
1,48,573 received second division, and 58,394 received third division.

In the examinations,
18,653 students achieved star marks, while 8,517 students received distinction
marks.
