Digital Desk: An earthquake of magnitude 7.0 struck Indonesia's Bali Sea region on Tuesday , the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.

According to the EMSC, the earthquake's epicentre was 518 kilometres (322 miles) beneath the Earth's surface, 201 kilometres north of Mataram, Indonesia.

The magnitude has been reported to be 7.1 by the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The epicentre of the earthquake was located near Bangsal in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, at a depth of 525 kilometres.

Meanwhile, the US Tsunami Warning System stated that there were no threats of tsunami as a result of the earthquake that hit deep under the seabed.
