The airport has enough parking space and preparations for foreign delegates attending the Summit...

Digital Desk: Due to traffic constraints in the capital for the impending G20 summit, Delhi's Indira Gandhi Airport (IGI) has announced the cancellation of at least 160 domestic flights between September 8 and 10.

As reported by media sources, the airport operator stated that the cancellations were requested by the airlines and that foreign flights were unaffected.

According to the operator, the airport has enough parking space and accommodations for the planes of foreign delegations attending the Summit. However, tourists may suffer delays getting to and from the airport because major routes in the Delhi-NCR will be closed or diverted during Summit days.

Before planning any trip during the Summit days, airport officials encouraged passengers to check aircraft availability and status.

They also asked passengers to cooperate with airport security and adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines. The G20 Summit is a high-level international gathering in which leaders from 20 major economies will participate.
