Digital Desk: According to Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran, Air India will purchase 250 aircraft from Airbus, including 40 wide-body aircraft.

The airline operated by the Tata Group will purchase 210 narrow-body aircraft and 40 wide-body A350 aircraft.

Chandrasekaran announced that a letter of intent had been signed with Airbus for the purchase of the aircraft during a virtual event that was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, among others.

The extremely long trips will be made on wide-body aircraft.

In January of last year, Air India was purchased by Tata Group.
