Digital Desk: On October 18, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma turned to social media platform 'X' to show a bird's eye view of the newly built Shraddhanjali Flyover in Guwahati's Zoo Road.

The chief minister announced on Twitter that the new flypast will be open to the public on 19 October.

CM Sarma said on 'X', sharing a few drone pictures, "Guwahati's skyline is undergoing a rapid transformation." Tomorrow, the Shraddhanjali Flypast will be dedicated to the people."

Sarma expressed hope that the flyover, which has three lanes on each side, will alleviate traffic congestion on the RG Baruah road for the next 20 years.

One of these lanes would route traffic to Geeta Mandir. A highway has also been built beneath the flyover on both sides, resulting in a seven-lane structure. Sarma went on to say that the flyover was named after Shradhanjali Kanan.
