If the BJP comes into power for the third time, the saffron party will sell out the entire nation...

Digital Desk: Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi sought clarification from Assam Congress leader Bhupen Borah after the politician purportedly told the media hours later that the veteran party might run for all 14 Lok Sabha seats.

This comes after the Indian National Congress party decided to join forces with other significant political parties to take against the BJP in the next Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking to reporters, Sivsagar MLA, Akhil Gogoi said, "The statement made by Bhupen Borah on the upcoming Lok Sabha election claiming to contest in all the 14 seats has certainly made other alliance parties in a cornered seat."

Gogoi also claimed that the Sivsagar MLA called Bhupen Borah, the head of the Assam Congress, to clarify his stand on the media statements.

"Borah said that he never said that Congress will fight in all 14 seats alone but asserted that opposition parties are gearing up to contest in all 14 seats and if there has been any miscommunication I urged him to clear his stand in front of the media," Gogoi added.

Speaking about the upcoming Lok Sabha election, Gogoi stated that it was a significant democratic event and that India would resemble Hitler's Germany if the saffron party again formed the government.

Gogoi also asserted that all parties must unite to defeat the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha election because if it comes into power for the third time, the saffron party will sell out the entire nation.

Gogoi appealed to the Congress party, pleading with the party officials not to do anything that would encourage the opposition parties to grab an opportunity while disheartening the general populace.
