It has been found that the gang was gathering private bank information illegally from unsuspecting people by using advanced cyber techniques.

Digital Desk: A cybercriminal gang operating in Bhetapara was dismantled as a consequence of a joint operation between the criminal Branch and the East Guwahati Police Department (EGPD), led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Basistha.

Dipak Singh (18) from Hooghly, Rupam Goswami (45) from West Mednipur, Firoz Khan (44) from Durgapur, all of whom reside in West Bengal, and Shlok Kumar (21) from Khagaria, Bihar, were the four people who were arrested about the illegal activity.

It was found that the gang was gathering private financial information illegally from unsuspecting people by using advanced cyber techniques.

These stolen account credentials were then used as "Mule" accounts, serving as bridges for the unauthorized movement of money to commit other financial crimes.

Legal actions have been taken against the people who were arrested upon their apprehension.
