Digital Desk: The Government of Assam released an official memorandum on Saturday stating that all officers in the rank of Commissioner and Secretary and above will have to seek permission from the state's Chief Minister before leaving Head Quarters.

"It is observed that on some occasions senior officers of the Government of Assam are not available in the Head Quarters and so were not present in crucial meetings, etc," the paper stated.



"From now on, all officers in the rank of Commissioner& Secretary and above, as well as the Senior-most Secretary of a Department in the Government of Assam, will obtain prior permission of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam before leaving Head Quarter for any visit outside the state," the statement continued.
