The video featured Manash Borgohain, who was alleged being a police spy recruited by Chaliha...

Digital Desk: Manas Chaliha, accused of fraud, underwent questioning at Kokrajhar Sadar police station by the Crime Branch before being transferred to Guwahati.

His arrest in West Bengal on February 3 followed suspicions raised in a video released by ULFA-I. The video featured Manash Borgohain, who alleged being a police spy recruited by Chaliha for espionage, including training women to trap ULFA-I leaders.

Chaliha, denying the charges in a video while in hiding, claimed to be an organic farmer with no ties to Borgohain. Despite his defense, local media reports had already cast doubts on his character.

Assam Police refuted ULFA-I's claims, asserting Borgohain wasn't a police spy, and Chaliha had no administration ties.

ULFA-I, in a letter on February 1, questioned the lack of action against Chaliha.
