Digital Desk: The Assam State Education Department has announced the schedule for Gunotsav 2025, set to take place from January 6 to February 9, 2025. The event will be conducted in three phases, covering various districts across the state.

Phase I:
Self-evaluation: January 6
External evaluation: January 7, 8, and 9
Districts: Barpeta, Bajali, Karimganj, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Sivasagar, South Salmara-Mankachar, Udalguri

Phase II:
Self-evaluation: January 18
External evaluation: January 20, 21, and 22
Districts: Baksa, Chirang, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Jorhat, Kamrup (M), Sonitpur, Tamulpur, Tinsukia, Hojai

Phase III:
Self-evaluation: February 6
External evaluation: February 7, 8, and 9
Districts: Bongaigaon, Biswanath, Darrang, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Cachar, Nalbari, Morigaon, Dima Hasao, Majuli, West Karbi Anglong




Notably, the Gunotsav evaluations for Bajali and Tamulpur will be conducted by the Barpeta and Baksa districts, respectively. This comprehensive assessment aims to enhance the quality of education in Assam by involving both self and external evaluations across multiple phases and districts.

Taking to X, the Assam Education minister wrote, "Gunutsav - 2025 will be held in 3 phases from 6 January to 9 February. All preparations are progressing on time. 43,23,499 students in 45,629 schools will be assessed in Gunutsav. We seek everyone’s cooperation."
