Digital Desk: A passenger bus reportedly caught fire in Assam's Nalbari on Wednesday, although no great disaster took place as a consequence.

As per sources, the bus was travelling from Guwahati to Barpeta. The Sources also claim that the fire started this afternoon when the bus stopped to let passengers off.

The fire quickly spread throughout the bus, engulfing it entirely.

Meanwhile, firefighting professionals arrived on the scene after being notified of the event, and after making constant efforts, they were able to extinguish the raging inferno.

As of now, the cause of the fire has not been determined. According to reports, all of the bus's passengers, driver, and conductor are safe.

The injured have been sent to the hospital for further medical care. Video footage was also shown where a massive flame was engulfing the bus as fire authorities attempted to extinguish the flames.
