Digital Desk: Increased security presence in conflict-hit Manipur is probably going to last until at least mid-November.

Curfews and prohibitions on public meetings will probably persist in various regions of Manipur until the state's circumstances fully return to normal.

According to reports, there are currently about 40,000 security guards stationed all over Manipur to uphold peace and order.

It should be noted that massive caches of weapons and ammunition have been found during combing operations carried out by the Manipur police and other security officers around the state.

In Manipur, the violence that has lasted for six months, over 180 individuals have lost their lives.

Since May 3, thousands more people had to leave Manipur due to ethnic conflicts and violence between the Kuki and Meitei communities.
