Over 1.2 lakh people are said to have attended the flower show at Lal Bagh in the previous week.

Digital Desk: On its final day, the Lal Bagh Botanical Garden Flower Show drew a sizable crowd as admirers of the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar flocked to Lal Bagh to pay respects to their favourite hero.

Over 1.2 lakh people are said to have attended the flower show at Lal Bagh in the previous week. As part of their efforts to reduce traffic congestion on the last day, Bengaluru traffic police have already issued a traffic advisory to those who will be visiting the park on Independence Day. To help them manage traffic, the police advised people to travel to Lal Bagh Botanical Garden via public transportation.

To encourage more people to use public transportation, BMRCL (Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited) introduced a paper ticket system that costs a flat 30 rupees at all metro stations, starting at Lal Bagh Metro station.

Basavaraj Bommai, the chief minister of Karnataka, opened the Independence Day flower show at the Lalbagh Botanical Garden on August 5.

After a two-year hiatus caused by the COVID epidemic, the flower exhibit returned with a theme honouring the father-and-son Kannada film stars, Dr. Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar.
