New Delhi: Courting controversy in response to a journalist's question on the rising inflation of the country, BJP Leader Ramratan Payal said, “Go to Taliban-ruled Afghanistan. Petrol is Rs 50 per liter there… but there’s no one to use it.” “At least there is safety in India. The third wave of Covid-19 is about to hit us…and being a reporter, you are talking about petrol prices,” he added.

The BJP leader and his supporters were not maintaining any social distance nor any face masks seen on their faces. In fact, the state functionaries were themselves seen violating covid norms, who create the laws.

Meanwhile, Payal was not the first BJP leader to advise people to move to Afghanistan. His party colleague in Bihar, Haribhushan Thakur also urged everyone who felt any sort of fear in India to go to the war-torn state, while adding petrol and diesel prices are cheaper there.
