Digital Desk: An agitated mob reacted to an attempt to steal cattle in Latabari of Bokakhat, Assam, by taking matters into their own hands and setting a luxury vehicle ablaze. The incident unfolded as four individuals attempted to steal cows, prompting local residents to set the vehicle ablaze after the culprits fled the scene.

As per reports, the upheaval began when the vehicle, bearing the license plate AS12 AA 2648, was used by the thieves to load the stolen cattle after untying them from a cowshed.

When the village protection group found them in the act, they abandoned the cattle and their vehicle, escaping under the cover of darkness.

Following the incident, the locals set the vehicle on fire, reducing it to ashes. However, police and fire brigade teams arrived at the scene and doused the flames.
