Trudeau, who arrived in Delhi on Friday, was supposed to leave on Sunday, but a technical problem with the plane left him delayed for two days.

Digital Desk: On Tuesday afternoon, when the technical problem with his aircraft was fixed, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his delegation left the national capital. Trudeau, who arrived in Delhi on Friday, was supposed to leave on Sunday, but a technical problem with the plane left him delayed for two days.

A source in the know said the aircraft took off at around 1310 hrs (1:10 pm IST). Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar was at the airport to see off Trudeau. "On behalf of PM @narendramodi Ji and my colleagues in govt, I was at the airport today to thank Mr. Justin Trudeau, Hon'ble Prime Minister of Canada @JustinTrudeau for his presence at the #G20Summit and wished him and his entourage a safe trip back home," the minister said in a post on platform X.

Additionally, he uploaded a photo of himself and Trudeau with the state minister for entrepreneurship, skill development, electronics, and technology. The prime minister's office stated the jet has been permitted to fly in a statement on Tuesday.

Due to an aeroplane technical problem, Trudeau and his party -- who were scheduled to depart Delhi following the G20 summit on Sunday -- were left stranded. "The aircraft's technical problem has been fixed. It is now safe to fly the aircraft. The message stated that the Canadian delegation was scheduled to leave this afternoon.

The Canadian Armed Forces continue to make every effort to return the delegation home, the prime minister's office stated on Monday. "As the situation changes, we'll keep you routinely informed. The earliest probable departure, according to their most recent report, is Tuesday late afternoon. It had stated that the issue was still a moving target.
