The accused, identified as Bitish Hajong used a sharp weapon to kill his wife Baijayanti Hajong (50). 

Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a 60-year-old man allegedly beheaded his wife over a domestic dispute and brought her severed head to the police station on his cycle to surrender in Chirang's Bijni on Saturday, April 19.  

The accused, identified as Bitish Hajong used a sharp weapon to kill his wife Baijayanti Hajong (50). He carried the severed head on his cycle and surrendered before the police, authorities said.

Bitish Hajong, a daily wager, returned home from work on Saturday night when the horrific incident occurred.

Family members said that the accused has anger issues and both the husband and wife used to fight every day.

Bitish Hajong was detained by the police. An investigation has been initiated regarding the matter.
