Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the mind behind the Class 10 paper leak controversy has been exposed...

Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma admitted on Thursday that the leak of Class 10 state board exam question papers was a "failure" on the side of his government.

CM Sarma also stated at an assembly session that the mastermind behind the incident had been exposed.

"The leak of matric paper should not have happened. It is a reflection of our failure. "I accept it," he said in front of the House.

According to him, the major perpetrator is the centre in charge of a school, and three other teachers were also determined to be involved in the situation.

"Within 48 hours, the Assam Police had solved the case. I propose that the accused appear in front of the police and provide additional information," he continued.

Sarma stated that the government will take all reasonable steps in the future to improve the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), which conducts the state's Class 10 matriculation examination.
