Digital Desk: State-run Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) announced a hike in the prices of commercial LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders across various places in the country on Wednesday (November 1, 2023). This marks the second price increase in commercial LPG cylinder rates in just two months.

Under the revised pricing structure, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs Rs 1,833 in Delhi, compared to its previous price of Rs 1,731. In Mumbai, the new price is Rs 1,785.50, while in Kolkata and Chennai, it stands at Rs 1,943 and Rs 1,999.50 per cylinder, respectively.

This decision comes shortly after an October increase that saw commercial LPG cylinder prices at Rs 1,684 in Mumbai, Rs 1,839.50 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,898 in Chennai. That time, OMCs had raised prices by Rs 209.

However, domestic LPG cylinder prices, commonly used for cooking in households, remain stable at Rs 903 for a 14.2-kg cylinder in Delhi.
