Jaipur: A man gets death sentence in Rajasthan on Tuesday after Ajmer’s POCSO court imposed the death penalty for raping and killing an 11-year-old girl in June this year.

Reportedly, special judge Ratan Lal Moond awarded the death sentence to the rapist Sundar alias Surendra.

As per the reports, the 11-year-old girl had gone missing after taking her goats to graze in the hills of Vaidhinath Mahadev in the Pushkar area of Ajmer. Later her body was recovered from the top of the hill with multiple bore injuries. Pushkar police arrested Sundar on June 22 of this year.

Notably, this is the second time in Ajmer where the court has sentenced the death penalty in rape and murder cases.
