Guwahati: The Bodo Women Justice Forum (BWJF) leader, Anjali Daimary called a press meet after meeting the family members of the two youths who were gunned down by Kokrajhar Police in an encounter on Saturday, on suspicion of being members of a newly floated extremist group.

Anjali Daimary condemned the ‘intended killing’ of the two innocent Bodo youths, identified as Jongshar Musharay and Janak Brahma and claimed it to be a cold blooded murder.

Daimary urged the government to scrap the State Arms Special Power Act (AFSPA) that has been the main cause of the rise in the number of such incidents.

“A proper investigation is required in this case. The government should initiate high level probe and catch the real culprits behind this mindless killings”, said Anjali Daimary.

Anjali Daimary is the sister of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) founder, Ranjan Daimary, who has been serving a lifer, for his role in the 2008 Assam serial bomb blasts case.
