Digital Desk: Before the elections were held for the Assembly constituency of Arunachal Pradesh and on the last day of the nomination filing by the candidates, Arunachal BJP saw a remarkable by winning five seats unopposed. 


The report comes on the heels of the nomination deadline, which ended today. Among the triumphant candidates is Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Prema Khandu, who secured his seat unchallenged from the Mukto constituency. Alongside Khandu, Tali Jikke Tako, Mutchu Mithi representing Reing (ST), Nyato Rigia from Taliha (ST) constituency, and Ratu Techi of Sagalee (ST) constituency have also been elected unopposed.


The absence of opposition candidates in these crucial constituencies paved the way for the BJP's uncontested victory. This development significantly strengthens the BJP's position in the 60-member Arunachal Assembly, as they secure five seats without contest. However, the official announcement is still pending from the electoral authorities.


Today marked the culmination of the nomination process, closing the window for candidates to submit their credentials for the upcoming elections. With these unopposed victories, the BJP asserts a tough start to the electoral race in Arunachal Pradesh, setting the stage for an intriguing political landscape in the region.
