Digital Desk: The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 gets underway today (October 5) in India, with defending champions England facing off against New Zealand at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, which also hosts the final on November 19.


The 13th Men's One-Day International World Cup will feature 45 league matches and three knockout matches. Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka will compete in the event.


Team India's campaign will begin on October 8 against Australia at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium. The highly awaited encounter between India and Pakistan will take place on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The day bouts will begin at 10:30 a.m., while the day-night matchups will begin at 2 p.m. There are six-day matches and six-day-night matches.
