Digital Desk: An IED detonated in Shillong's busy Police Bazar on Sunday evening causing panic among residents of the Meghalayan capital. According to reports, no casualty has been reported so far. Police Bazar is a commercial building located in the busy area of Shillong. The blast took place near Delhi Misthan Bhandar. Also Read: Manipur elections Protests and chaos in Manipur after BJP revealed its candidates list Following the blast, a bomb squad arrived at the blast site and currently inspecting the area. Fortunately, all the shops were closed in the market as part of the Sunday lockdown due to Covid. The explosion has come amid inter-boundary issues between Assam and Meghalaya. The two northeastern states have only recently agreed to resolve the decades-long boundary disputes in six out of 12 shared areas.
