Digital Desk: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast projecting substantial rainfall across Northeast India and South Peninsular India for the upcoming 3 to 4 days. This announcement coincides with a gradual decline in maximum temperatures and the alleviation of heatwave conditions in Northwest India, including Delhi.

Alongside the weather developments in the Northwest, the IMD has also predicted isolated episodes of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Northeast India and South Peninsular India over the next 3 to 4 days. Specifically, regions such as Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim are anticipated to encounter significant rainfall during this period. Moreover, Manipur is expected to observe isolated heavy rainfall on both Monday and Tuesday.
