A gang allegedly attacked poll workers during the Hullenahalli Milk Producers' Cooperative Society election...

Digital Desk: A charge has been filed against a group for allegedly beating poll officials in Karnataka's Ramanagara district who were supposed to oversee the Milk Producers' Union election.

Reportedly, four people have been charged in the case.

During this incident, at least 250 voting papers were stolen from election workers. A woman was also hurt when the group attacked her as they fled the scene.

On Wednesday, the Hullenahalli Milk Producers' Cooperative Society was slated to elect its director.
The event unfolded as the returning officer and his colleagues were en route to oversee the election. A group attacked poll officers on a desolate road in Magadi Taluk.

The gang claimed to have stolen voting papers, two laptop computers, and a mobile phone from officials. Later, the gang fled the scene.

The election has apparently been halted as a result of the incident.
