PM Modi said one lakh beneficiaries from deprived sections have been given Rs 720 crore assistance till now

Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that most of the beneficiaries of his government's welfare programmes are members of underprivileged groups such as SCs, STs, and OBCs. He also accused the previous Congress administrations of ignoring these individuals and never recognising their contributions to the nation's development.

During the launch of the PM-SURAJ national portal, he stated that the BJP will persist in guaranteeing that individuals from underprivileged backgrounds attain high positions. He cited the elections of Droupadi Murumu and Ram Nath Kovind as examples.

He claimed that the opposition did all it could to guarantee their defeat. Prime Minister Modi made a jab at the opposition by asking, "How can anyone say I have no family when I have brothers and sisters like you?" to the group of individuals from underprivileged backgrounds. He claimed that impoverished groups in society had profited from his government's programmes like cooking gas and toilets. "SCs, STs, and OBCs are the biggest beneficiaries of government welfare schemes for the poor," he quoted by The Times of India.

Credit support is intended to be made available to eligible individuals nationwide through the Pradhan Mantri Samajik Utthan and Rozgar Adharit Jankalyan (PM-SURAJ) national portal. This includes sanitation workers and members of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes.
