Digital Desk: On Twitter, former IPL chairman Lalit Modi announced a "new beginning" with Sushmita Sen, driving their fans into a frenzy.
"Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families - not to mention my #better looking partner @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon (sic)," Lalit Modi tweeted.
However, the former IPL chairman immediately clarified that they are "just dating."
"Just for clarity. Not married - just dating each other. That too it will happen one day," he tweeted.
Earlier, Sushmita was in a relationship with model Rohman Shawl, which ended amicably last year. "We began as friends, we remain friends!! The relationship was long over…the love remains," the bollywood actress posted on Instagram in December last year, along with a picture of herself and Rohman.
Lalit Modi has been in London since 2010 when he left India facing tax evasion and money-laundering probes.
Sushmita Sen, who won the title of Miss Universe in 1994, made her Bollywood debut in 1996 with the movie Dastak. She has appeared in films like Biwi No. 1, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Main Hoon Na, and No Problem.
Sushmita Sen has two daughters, Alisah and Renee. The 46-year-old actress was most recently featured in the web series Aarya 2.
