Digital Desk: Strong tremors reverberated through Delhi and its surrounding cities on Monday afternoon as a 5.6-magnitude earthquake rattled Nepal, marking its second significant seismic event in just three days. The National Centre for Seismology reported that the quake's epicenter was located 233 kilometers north of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

The sudden jolt sent shockwaves of panic among residents in the National Capital Region, with reports of desks and furniture shaking vigorously. Videos posted on social media depicted people hastily evacuating residential buildings for safety.

This latest quake comes hot on the heels of a devastating 6.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal last Friday, claiming the lives of at least 157 people. It was the nation's most powerful earthquake since the catastrophic 2015 event. Nepal, situated in one of the world's most active tectonic zones, remains acutely susceptible to seismic activity.
