Digital Desk: The Manipur Police conducted a search and cordon operation (CASO) in the Imphal West area of the state on Friday. During the raid, a sizable quantity of high-tech weapons and ammunition were seized.
 
About 150 houses in the three villages of Kameng, Khamran, and Mana Ingkhol were searched by a combined team of Imphal West District Police and security officers. 

The following items were recovered during the search operation:- 

Carbine - 3 nos., Carbine magazines- 5 nos., 9 mm pistol - 1 no with 1 mag., 7.65 lama pistol - 1 no with mag., 36 HE Granade - 3 nos., Air gun with scope - 1 no and Ammunition: 67 nos. of 9mm round, 78 nos. of 0.45mm round, 1 plastic magazine of INSAS rifle, BP Jacket - 8 nos., Police uniform - 13 pairs + 1 pant, Jungle boot - 8 pairs, Dummy rifle (wood) – 19, Wireless set - 3 nos. with 4 chargers, Receipt booklet of KCP (PWG Kangla), 1 Attendance register, Mobile phone - 6 nos., 1 Maruti Gypsy without registration number plate.
 
The CASO was a success, and no untoward incident took place during the operation. The seized items have been handed over to Lamshang police station for appropriate legal action.
