Security operations are underway across the hill and valley districts of the state. At least 114 checkpoints are also maintained throughout Manipur. 

Digital Desk: Manipur Police arrested a KCP (PWG) cadre from the Irum Mapal area of Kakching district on February 18. The active KCP cadre, identified as Naorem Premkanta Singh, 43, was involved in several extortion cases, where he targeted locals for extortion activities. 

The same day, two other arrests were also made. Romeo Laishram (50) was arrested from Imphal West District and several arms and ammunitions including a 7.65 mm pistol, related equipment were seized. 

In another operation, Manipur police arrested PREPAK (PRO) member Salam Sitoljit Singh (36) from Uripok Khumanthem Leikai and recovered a mobile phone from the individual's possession.
