Puri Howrah Special (02803) will depart Puri at 2100hrs (09.00 p.m.) and will go via Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda.

Digital Desk: The East Coast Railway would run three Special trains between Puri and Howrah to help stranded passengers from the Odisha train tragedy.

Train services have been disrupted on the Howrah-Chennai Main Line's Bhadrak-Kharagpur Railway Section, according to an official notification issued on Sunday. As a result, many passengers travelling from Puri to Howrah are expected to become trapped in Puri.

Puri Howrah Special (02801) from Puri will depart at 1900hrs (07.00 p.m.) and will travel via the Jakhapura-Kendujhargarh-Dongoaposi-Kharagpur route, according to reports.

Puri Howrah Special (02803) will depart Puri at 2100hrs (09.00 p.m.) and will go via Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur City-Jharsuguda.

Puri Howrah Special (02805) will depart Puri at 2200hrs (10.00 p.m.) and will go via Jakhapura-Kendujhargarh-Dongoaposi-Kharagpur.

Earlier today, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik promised complimentary bus services from Puri, Bhubaneswar, and Cuttack to Kolkata in the wake of the Balasore railway tragedy.

It should be noted that 275 people were killed and over 1,000 were injured in the sad train accident that occurred on June 2 in Odisha's Balasore.

Meanwhile, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that the Railway Board has requested a CBI investigation into the disaster. Previously, the railway minister indicated that the train collision was caused by a change in "electronic interlocking."
