According to sources, an FIR was filed at the Silchar Sadar Police station with charges against him to disrupt order and peace among communities and hurt sentiments.

Even after his arrest on Saturday, Roy made aggressive remarks upon Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The BDF leader also alleged that Assam CM Sarma wants to get him killed inside the jail by imposing sedition charges against him.
