Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, as many as five children were injured while trying to create a bomb after watching instructional videos on YouTube in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district. The children, inspired by the online content, extracted gunpowder from matchsticks and connected it to a battery. The explosion occurred when they switched on a torch that had been filled with the makeshift explosive.

One child suffered severe injuries, while the other four sustained burns of varying severity. All the injured children were immediately rushed to Gayaghat Primary Health Centre for treatment.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rakesh Kumar confirmed the details, stating that the children had been experimenting with the dangerous materials based on what they learned from YouTube.

According to SSP Kumar, the children were guided by an older child in the group, leading to the explosion that caused significant injuries to their faces and bodies.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are urging parents to observe their children's online activities to prevent such dangerous experiments in the future.
