The Sikkim government opted to reinstate the state's former pension programme...


Digital Desk:  Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) on September 11th announced the previous pension scheme will be resurrected in Sikkim.


Based on a report provided by an expert group, the Sikkim government opted to reinstate the state's former pension programme.


In December of last year, the Sikkim government formed a committee to investigate the practicality of restoring the former pension programme for state government employees.


Rinzing Chewang Bhutia, secretary of the Sikkim Personnel Department, is going to preside over the panel.


Furthermore, the Sikkim chief minister stated that the "one family, one job" regulation will be implemented in the state soon.
