Digital Desk: During her visit to Kota, Rajasthan, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman received praise for imparting some inspirational life lessons to a student. Sitharaman spent the entire day in Kota talking to the students at "Yuva Shakti Samvad." Speaker Om Birla was by her side. On Twitter, a video of Sitharaman's wise words is currently trending.

The video begins with a student named Apala Mishra discussing how she loses motivation while studying and getting ready for examinations. Sitharaman praises the girl for speaking about the subject as the entire audience laughs sarcastically. She also discusses how despite all of life's ups and downs, one should never lose hope.

The Finance Minister is also heard remarking that if the student had been closer, she would have hugged her for being so courageous.

There will always be ups and downs in life. But by the time you recognize them, half the bridge has already been crossed. I would have given you a firm hug if I were closer to you," the caption for the video reads.

Over 70k people have watched the video, and many others have commented on it. Sitharaman was praised for adopting such energizing language to increase the student's self-confidence.
