The Chief Minister, representing the Malkajgiri Parliamentary constituency in Telangana, met with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla this evening to formally submit his resignation.
Accompanied by the party's whip and Member of Parliament Manickam Tagore, Revanth Reddy visited the Parliament House to complete the resignation process. Reddy, who was recently elected as an MLA from the Kodangal assembly constituency in the just-concluded assembly elections, took the decision to step down from his Lok Sabha seat, adding a new chapter to his political journey.
Sources suggest that besides the resignation, Revanth Reddy is likely to meet with the party's general secretary, K C Venugopal, to discuss various issues ahead of the first assembly session in Telangana.
