Digital Desk: A trainee doctor studying at Meenakshi Medical College, a private medical institution in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, fell to her death from the fifth floor of a campus building.

The 23-year-old victim, Sherlin, from Tirunelveli, was a fifth-year student and trainee doctor. On Sunday night, fellow students captured footage of her sitting outside the fifth-floor window for an extended period. Before anyone could intervene, Sherlin reportedly jumped.

She was rushed to the hospital for emergency care but later died from her injuries. Preliminary reports indicate that she may have been struggling with depression due to personal issues.

Local authorities have launched a thorough investigation, and her body has been sent for a postmortem examination.
