Kolkata: Veteran actor tuned politician Mithun Chakraborty has tested positive for Covid-19. He is currently under home quarantine and is following necessary precautions as per safety amid the pandemic, said the actor.

The actor was last spotted campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party during the West Bengal Elections. Interestingly, he was recently booked for allegedly flouting safety norms amid the pandemic with his election rally at Baishabnagar assembly constituency in the Malda district of the state after it witnessed more than 500 attendees.
