Digital Desk: A woman allegedly assaulted a security guard at an ATM branch in Karnataka's Bengaluru after he called her "aunty".

The woman was standing near the cabin door and had just withdrawn money from the ATM. The security guard addressed her as "aunty" and asked her to move aside in an attempt to clear the way for other customers.

According to eyewitness accounts, the word sparked fury in the woman, and she then allegedly attacked the guard with her slippers and physically assaulted him.

Passersby who saw the incident immediately alerted the police, which resulted in the filing of a case.

The woman may have been dealing with health concerns at the time of the occurrence, according to some reports, the police added, but the matter is still under investigation.

Despite the assault, the security guard did not sustain any major injuries. The woman is currently out on bail.
