Tokyo: They all played well. The high voltage bronze medal match between India vs Great Britain was a fascinating one even as India went on to score continuous three goals, it faltered at the end, finishing at fourth.

Britain earned the bronze medal in the women's hockey tournament after a hard-fought 4-3 win over India. Britain, who had won gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics, took a two-goal lead in the second quarter through goals by Elena Rayer and Sarah Robertson.

India women's hockey team displayed a spirited fight against the players of Great Britain and they reaching the semi-finals is in itself a moment of glory for the country.

Many tweeted about the match, praising the girls for their dynamic display of sportsmanship.
