Devoleena Bhattacharjee befitting replies to trollers for marrying a Muslim man Shahnawaz Sheikh

Digital Desk: In an intimate ceremony, Devoleena Bhattacharjee married her gym trainer, Shahnawaz Sheikh. Many netizens, however, have begun to criticise her, dubbing her marriage "love jihad" and comparing it to the Aftab Poonawala case.

Netizens lambasted Devoleena for releasing photos of herself and her husband Shahnawaz from their wedding. And now, the former Bigg Boss contestant has responded to the public's perceptions of her marriage and potential children. 

While there were tweets from well-wishers and die-hard admirers wishing her a happy married life, some chastised her for marrying a man who practises Islam. In their tweets, they even mentioned the Aftab Poonawala case.

"Good to hear that your boy will be a peace-loving creature, as you mentioned once," one tweet said. "Ola hu Uber Leena BiBi."

"Ji bilkul khudko khush kismat samjhungi agar APJ #Abdulkalam sir jaise apne bete ko shiksha de paayee toh," Devoleena said in the comments section. Aap aap jaise bilkul mat banaiyega. Apka bhala karein, Ishwar. #toxic”

Afterwards, Devoleena responded on another tweet that was later deleted by the user, commenting, “Whether my babies will be Hindu or Muslim aap kaun ? Aur itni jab apko baccho ko lekar chinta ho hi rahi hai bohot saare anaath ashrams hai, jaaiye adopt kijiye aur apne hisaab se dharm or naam decide kijiye. Mera pati, mera baccha, mera dharm, mere rules. Aap kaun? #toxic”.

A Twitter user commented, "Om Shanti in advance" on Devoleena and Shanawaz's picture, Devoleena shot back, saying, "Itna mat stress lijiye. Main ki parivar dekh lenge. Waise haan dahej k liye jala dena, yeh sab toh sirf myth hi hai. Waise aap nakli dharm rakshak hai, toh jaldi duniya ka hi Om shanti hone waala hai. Rakhiyega apna dhyan rakhiyega ". The trolls don't appear to be ready to leave Devoleena until she is exhausted.

Devoleena was last seen as a wildcard participant on Bigg Boss 15 in season 15. As a Bigg Boss 13 contestant, the actress has been involved with the reality show. She is most known for her role as Gopi Bahu in Saath Nibhana Saathiya, in which she made a brief appearance in the second season to introduce the new generation.
