Digital Desk: The Oscar nominees for all 23 categories for 2022 have finally been revealed.
The
Academy Award nominations were revealed on Tuesday by Leslie Jordan and Tracee Ellis Ross; a live stream was available for people worldwide to watch on the official website and social media.
The 94th Academy Awards is scheduled to be held on March 27 at Los Angeles Dolby Theatre. The event will likely have numerous hosts this year; however, no names have been released yet.
With 12, Jane Campion’s ‘The Power of the Dog’, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, tops this year’s Oscar nominee, followed by Dune with ten, and Belfast and West Side Story with seven each.
On the other hand, the British acting nominees in the major categories include Olivia Colman, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Andrew Garfield. In supporting roles, Dame Judi Dench and Ciarán Hinds have been nominated.
Nominees were announced for all 23 categories, including best film, best director, and acting categories and crafts categories such as best sound, best production design, best makeup and hairstyling, and best visual effects.
