Digital Desk: Shaktimaan, a popular Indian superhero, has been adapted into a film by Sony Pictures International. The character had initially appeared in a TV series starring Mukesh Khanna.
According to reports, India’s own superhero Shaktimaan will hit the big screens as film studio Sony Pictures has received the film adaption rights from the copyright owner.

Sony Pictures India made the sensational announcement on Thursday evening with a short concept teaser video showing the rise of Shaktimaan.
Fans across the country applauded the short concept video in which a flying camera and glasses were seen, which were the signature accessories of Shaktiman’ alter personality ‘Journalist Gangadhar Shashtri’.

The text in the video reads, "As darkness and evil prevail upon humanity, it's time for him to return." The video then goes on to give a better look at Shaktimaan's costume.
Though the studio is yet to announce a release date of the film and the protagonist of the movie.
In the late ’80s, the amazing character of Shaktiman was played by Mukesh Khanna.
In 2020, the actor had confirmed that a film trilogy would be made on the character, promising that it would be “bigger than Ra. One and Krrish.”
