The speculation has been put to rest, at least partially, as Sharman Joshi, in an exclusive interview with Mid-day, provided some clarity on the possibility of a follow-up to the beloved film.
Addressing the much-anticipated question about a "3 Idiots" sequel, Sharman Joshi shared, "Right now, Rajkumar Hirani sir is very busy with Dunki. We hope that 3 Idiots’ sequel happens someday, and we will make a film." This statement has ignited the hopes of fans who have been eagerly waiting for a continuation of the hilarious and heartwarming tale.
In the interview, Sharman Joshi also reflected on his career choices, expressing a newfound willingness to explore more projects. He stated, "I've decided to now take more chances and do more films because, despite being sure that nothing can go wrong with a film, things can still go wrong, which I've learned over the years."
Emphasizing the positive changes in the film industry, Joshi noted, "There is great, exciting work happening. The kind of work that I've always wanted to do is now within reach for every actor, director, and producer."
