Digital Desk : Following the release of the film The Kashmir Files, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday that some people are minting money in the name of Kashmiri Pandits.

Speaking in the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal said, "Some people are earning crores of rupees in the name of Kashmir Pandits and have given work of sticking posters to the BJP. Agnihotri [Director of the movie The Kashmir Files] earned crores in the name of Kashmiri Pandits and you were left sticking posters. What are you doing? Open your eyes."

Earlier, Delhi BJP leaders urged Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to declare the film The Kashmir Files tax-free in the city. In response, Kejriwal stated that the BJP should request that the director, Vivek Agnihotri, upload the film to YouTube so that it is free to all, rather than making it tax-free in a few states.

Vivek Agnihotri had previously requested that a Haryana BJP leader in Rewari halt the free screening of The Kashmir Files. Kejriwal was referring to Agnihotri's tweet about the director earning money at the box office in the name of Kashmiri Pandits.

Several states, including Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tripura, Goa, and Uttarakhand, have made the film tax-free.
