Mumbai: Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actor Shilpa Shetty, for the first time after the pornography case, has released an official statement on Monday.
Raj Kundra, in his statement, said, “After much contemplation, I felt that my silence against all the misleading and irresponsible statements and many articles is being considered as weakness. Never have I been involved in producing and distributing of “Pornography.” This whole episode is nothing but a witch hunt. The case is pending, so I can’t explain it, but I am ready to face trial and have full faith in the judiciary system, where the truth will prevail.”

“Without knowing the depth of the case, media and my family declared me guilty, for which I am in constant pain. It is violating my constitutional rights at various levels. Day by day, the trolling and hatred of the people is increasing. I don’t hide my face in shame, but I don’t want my privacy to be intruded on with constant media trials. My priority is always mine; my family has been there so, nothing else matters at this juncture. I believe that every person has the right to live with dignity and I request the same.” he added.
Reportedly, Raj Kundra has got a big relief in the pornography case after Supreme Court stayed the arrest order for four weeks.
Kundra was arrested on July 19, along with 11 other people, for producing obscene films and airing them through the mobile app. Mumbai Court granted him bail in September after spending two months in jail. The court grants him bail on a surety of Rs. 50,000.
Raj Kundra is facing serious allegations and is booked under Indian Penal Code Sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292, and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays), and relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
